Otavalo is a magnet for tourists looking to experience one of the oldest indigenous markets in Latin America. Located in the northern Andes, it’s an area known for glacier lakes, soaring mountains, and waterfalls where hiking, biking, and horseback riding are very popular. This main house has three suites downstairs and three more upstairs. In addition, there are four cabins with wide covered porches. The four cabins make the total 10 units. All the rooms are family friendly suites TV, WIFI, usually three beds and some with fireplaces. Many of the decorations are from the market in Otavalo which gives the spaces authentic warmth. Guests’ remarks are that the decor is very tasteful and well thought out. They always rave about strolling the grounds and most mention the excellent food. There is a lovely restaurant in the manor house which features expansive fireside dining indoors and a wrap around terrace where eating al fresco is a must on sunny mountain mornings. The kitchen prep area is well equipped to handle most any size group. Upstairs there is a covered terrace that can also be used for receptions. From up there, you see mountains and can survey the manicured pathways that lead to the rest of the resort. For large parties such as weddings, business retreats, or family reunions, there is separate banquet hall designed to serve bbq or pizzas to a crowd seated at long wooden tables. The bar makes it easy to mix drinks and the kitchen area is set up to serve buffet style. Another building is a party room with round tables for smaller groups or maybe music and dancing after the banquet. It would also be ideal for business training meetings. For recreation, there’s a kiddie playground, picnic area, fire pit, and a game room with billiards and ping pong. Over an acre of gardens to explore make this an appealing place to stay and a good investment for the savvy buyer looking for a turnkey operation in a thriving community. It’s a plus that there is a separate laundry room built in 2019, ample secure parking, and emergency generator. This is a truly spectacular resort!
