The lodge, nestled in the woods surrounded by mountains, lakes, rivers, rare birds, and flowers, has glorious views at every turn – and each area of the eco-lodge has views of the property’s 200 sq. meter majestic Chamana waterfall. Eco trails carved through the property offer endless opportunities to see the Ulba and El Silencio waterfalls, as well as panoramic views of the Tungurahua volcano, the Amazon, and the Sangay and Llanganates National parks.
The 1000 sq. meter construction area consists of three fully furnished bungalows, a family suite with two rooms, two one-room apartments, and a private rooftop residence found in an eye-catching and delightfully quirky tower (that can be turned into a meeting or yoga area and additional accommodations). On the premises, there are two additional rooms that could be turned into offices or made into additional sleeping areas, a workshop, a lovely restaurant, a large bar, and a fully equipped restaurant kitchen. The furniture, kitchen appliances, and tools, barware, silverware, plates, and linens are all included in the purchase price.
In this popular hosteria, art reflects nature and nature shines back through the symmetry, sacred geometry, and artistic windows (each with a different shape and size). Skylights bring in the sunlight and invite magical views of the starry mountain nights. All of the porches, terraces, and seating areas face the incredible waterfall.
Hand-built in 1994 by a German family (and current owners) the construction took nearly ten years to complete, with their vision of combining art and engineering so that the property became one with nature.
